I will probably be lambasted for this, and a lot of people don’t take me seriously as a filmmaker because I often talk about it openly, but bar Pearl Harbour & The Island I love his movies & no one can boast a showreel like that.
Call his films childish, immature, of no contribution to cinema, [...]
I picked up the first two collected issues of Brian Azzarello’s Loveless when I popped by for the screening of S’kali back in 2007 in Baltimore. There was local comic store in Benji’s area & I could not help but go in. Being the Western junkie that I am, it was hard to resist the [...]
‘5:13′ is all about what you can’t see. When Keith & I began to write it, we knew that what excited us was the fear of what’s just around corner, that thing you just know is there, and all you can do is feel it and hear it before you even get to confront it.
This [...]
So I finally sat down to the ‘Caprica’ pilot last night. I was expecting it to be good, but not THAT FRAKKIN’ good. What I loved about ‘Battlestar Galactica’ were the very human issues in the show. The debates on humanity, ethics and spirituality.
And ‘Caprica’ is chock full of that.
I’m not gonna give a rundown [...]
Frightfest. Right now the deadline of this festival is all that is on the mind of the Perantauan/Befour team as we begin the push to get the movie done in time for the submission deadline of the 1st of June.
This past weekend, Ali & I got back to work on 5:13 & much to our [...]

So I decided to give Joss Whedon’s ‘Dollhouse’ & HBO’s ‘In Treatment’ a go.
DOLLHOUSE
The [...]
Recently, @monicahamburg wrote a neat little piece on Canadian Website, One Degree about how indie filmmakers are using social media to their benefit.
I loved the article and tweeted Monica telling her how true to life the article was especially when it came to the work Perantauan & Befour have been doing. She then said [...]
As we migrate over from working flat out on ‘The Joshua Tapes’ to ‘5:13′, I decided I would blog a little about my thoughts on the horror genre, since most posts from now on will be related to it due to the nature of the movie.
It took me a while to get back into horror. [...]
Damages Season 1. Stunning bit of television. Tightly plotted, deftly written with performances to die for. Every week had you on the edge of your seat as you wanted to piece together how Ellen Parsons ended up covered in blood running down a busy street.
It was so good, there was no doubt about a Season [...]
