Another Week Ends

This week has really flown past me, I’m still reeling from it and feeling like I did not get as much as I would have liked to get done. Then again, I gotta remember that a lot of this is not my fault really. On “Vincent”, I still don’t have certain elements of the production [...]

Recce

So the team has been out today, checking out a churchyard location near Golders Green, followed by our already locked locations in Camden.
I don’t produce often, in fact I only ever do it for close colleagues who I trust and would do anything for to help them progress their careers, just as they have mine. [...]

Vincent, Green Zone And The Cinema.

So the director I am working with, Mazin Elfehaid has recently revamped his website, and has been blogging profusely about his process, as he prepares to shoot “Vincent” in a few weeks.
At the moment, he’s been writing a lot about the whole issue of unpaid work for experience and what some runners have been through [...]

Seriously?

Funny Where Conversations Can Lead You

So we had our first major production meeting for “Vincent” yesterday round Mazin’s place with Teresa, Paula (1st AD) and Brian the DoP.
Like most production meetings, it covered all the bases we needed to get through and eventually the conversation got round to what stock was going to be used, lenses etc for what was [...]

Timedancer E01

This weekend I shoot E01’s video content for Timedancer. I am nervous. I don’t really know why but I think it has a lot to do with not having my usual team with me. I am missing Luke, Ali, Bahir and Ben.
Mind you, I am going to be working with a very talented fellow director [...]

Blocking & Meetings

It’s been a productive day to say the least. Spent the morning securing kit for “Timedancer”, insurance and locations for “Vincent”. Daniel then came by to check out the locations and we blocked out both the scenes for Sunday as well, which was real helpful.
What’s also gonna be cool is us working on the Canon [...]

Ben

So we’ve cast the character of Ben for Timedancer. Meet Ashley Gerlach. We think he’s gonna make an awesome addition to our already stellar cast. Shoot’s next weekend and episode 1 is scheduled to be out early May!
